Low-stock reorder automation

A sheet that watches velocity and lead time, and flags a reorder before a SKU actually runs out.

Sample data · synthetic

What actually changes

Stop finding out a SKU is out of stock only after the sale is already lost.

A fast-moving SKU crosses its reorder point unnoticed and runs out before anyone catches it.

See reorder point calculated from actual velocity and lead time, not a gut-feel buffer
Catch a SKU crossing its reorder point the moment it happens, not at the next stock check
Get a PO drafted automatically instead of relying on someone to remember to raise one

What was built

A watchlist that computes reorder point from daily velocity and lead time, and drafts a PO the moment a SKU crosses it.

The mechanics

How this actually runs, step by step.

  1. 1Each SKU's reorder point is computed from its daily sales velocity plus lead time plus a safety buffer.
  2. 2The sheet flags any SKU whose current stock has crossed that reorder point.
  3. 3Stock cover in days is shown alongside, so the most urgent SKUs sort to the top.
  4. 4Drafting a PO suggests a quantity that covers lead time plus a two-week buffer, never below the vendor's MOQ.
